Here's a handy little tool that sets up GMail as your default email application in Internet Explorer

And I just used these instructions http://mozillalinks.org/wp/2008/07/seamonkey-1110-update-available-now/ to set Gmail as my email client in Firefox.

Hi Cj, An interesting post. I had given some thought about setting up and extra mail account with gmail and hadn't done it as yet but with the information, which I saved a link to, I just might do that. Working on the Mac, the mail program is great once you learn how to use it but I do some of the organizational benefits with the other mail services. So I figure, why not have both and use them for different situations, business and personal. Thanks for sharing the link.

HI Cheryl,  Thanks for the info.  I was thinking I really need another email account as AOL is not always reliable.  And I wanted to thank you for your comment on helping my clients--they have made "pleasant pests" of themselves and possibly have found someone who actually cares!  We're holding our breaths but your words may have helped these wonderful people tremendously---THANK YOU!!
