After 9 long days of waiting... my Google Wave Invitation has finally arrived.
For the record, for everyone else still searching their inboxes, the sender will show as wave-noreply the title will show as xxsomebodyxx has invited you to preview Google Wave.
The text of the message is:

Google Wave is a new online tool for real-time communication and collaboration. A wave can be both a conversation and a document where people can discuss and work together using text, photos, videos, maps, and more. Learn more at wave.google.com.
This is still an early preview of Google Wave, so you may run into some bumps along the way but we look forward to your feedback.
To accept your invitation, sign into Google Wave at the following link*:

Unfortunately, I can't invite anyone else yet. This from the Wave help files:
As soon as we're confident that the system can accept more users, we will add a wave to your account that allows you to nominate friends and colleagues for an account. Once you have the capability to invite people, the wave appear in your inbox.
If you've already received an invite wave (you have seen it before in your inbox), you can search for "invite others to google wave" to find it. If you're out of invites, please bear with us as we work to add more people to the system. Once you've been given the capability to nominate more people, your invite wave will again appear in your inbox as an unread message.
