Members who were active in the Photography Group back in the early days will remember Bryce.
Bryce also created the Photography, Advanced group here on AR.
Bryce's wife Kirsten posted on his facebook profile yesterday that Bryce had passed away. He was only 34.
"On October 25th, Bryce lost his on-going battle with depression. While he seemed fine and much improved lately, we will never know what ultimately caused us to lose such an amazing human being, husband, and father so early in life.
There will be a memorial this week and we will update you all from here. It will likely take place at SPACEbin Greenwood towards the end of the week, but we"ll keep this up to date.
To those of you who've asked what you can do - there will be a bryce mohan memorial fund set up tomorrow at Bank of America. Please donate to this in lieu of flowers to help his stuggling family maintain his legacy and bid him the farewell such a beautiful being deserved.

1975is when I had just finished 2 years as a retail store owner. Until today it seemed like a lkong time ago. Reading about this tragic loss it seems like just a few days ago. Too young, too young.
I didn't know of him, but this sounds very sad. Suicide is such a waste. A friend's wife who was about the same age suffered from severe depression year's ago and did the same thing. It was devastating for everybody that knew them.
His talent was exceptional. My deepest sympathy to his family. May they soon feel the peace and love Bryce is now experiencing in Heaven. Thank you for posting this so we can pray and donate.

It is so sad when someone who can see the beauty of the world and share it with others, doesn't see the beauty in themselves. Depression is so powerful and I feel for his family going through this.

Cheryl - I didn't know Bryce, but I lost a friend to suicide last year, and I know how senseless and tragic this is. I'm sorry to hear this. My mom actually runs the Suicide and Crisis Center in Dallas, so I hear a lot of stories along these lines. Bryce was clearly a big-time talent.
I asked Bryce if I could re-post some of his photography tutorials. He responded to me on the 24th. We have lost a great talent. May God bless Kristen and family with comfort and provisions.

Cheryl, I never followed his blog . . . and sadly it is not pleasant news to find out about him in this way. I suffer with depression and the dispair at times can be overwhelming. The medical profession does nothing to help this disease. I know . . . from experience. Can you please provide more information on the donation. Thank you Cheryl for delivering the sad news. It is a tragic loss for his family and all who knew him in a personal or professional capacity.
I only knew Bryce through his brilliant images and always helpful tutorial articles on AR. He was a master with a digital image and an expert with architectural digital art. I am sorry that I will not have a chance to know him better.

Cheryl - Thanks for sharing this. I am shocked beyond belief. Bryce was my photography AR friend. I subscribed to his post and havent seen one for a LONG LONG time (11/08). He and I have cordial conversations about photography and he's indeed a talented man. My heart goes out to his young family.

This is such sad news. I had learned so much from Bryce and was a huge fan. I remember some time last year, he had written a post where he mentioned my name and referenced a post of mine. I was never so honored.

I remember him. I can't believe this. I am only 38 myself. I lost my wife when she was 34, like Bryce. That is way, way too young. Horrible and I am so sad about this.

Very sad. I never knew of him but after seeing some of the photos it appears a light has gone out in the world.

Glenn Close wrote a great piece on Huffington Post about mental illness - and depression specifically. So many are affected - but as a culture, we still manage to sweep it under the carpet.
