Let's say you have a TypePad blog, but you want it to act more like a website. It my previous post, I convered the steps to tell TypePad to display a "Page" as the front page of a website, rather than a list of blog posts.
Here's a Lazy Blogger Trick for creating the content for the page.
Sign up for a free Vflyer account. Create a General Services "marketing" VFlyer for yourself, In Vflyer, click the "Post Flyer" tab, place your curser inside the text box showing the HTML, and click "Copy to Clipboard".
Now, log into Typepad.
Click the "Weblogs" tab, choose the blog you want to work on, and click "Begin a new Post"

Click "New Page", then click the "Edit HTML" tab

Hit Edit -> Paste (or CRTL V) to paste the HTML copied from Vflyer into the Compose New Page box

Hit "Save", then View PAGE to see the final results.

To set the new "Page" as the front page of the blof, follow the instructions here: TypePad: Using The "Pages" Feature

Thank you, I will try this out,
J.
Cheryl, all of this is great information. Would this work in WordPress too?
I keep reading because I enjoy learning and I hope, hope it translates to WordPress. I have tried a little bit, but I'm not as technical as I would like!
I sure am glad I subscribe to you. In one post, you have covered 2 subjects I was working on this morning, bringing light on the subject.
Thanks
Cheryl - THANK YOU, THANK YOU!
I barely play with my TypePad account because I didn't have the time to mess with it. You've answered so many of my questions without the huge learning curve.
Again, THANK YOU!
Cheryl - Thanks for clearing up another typepad mystery. There is so much on that platform that I haven't figured out how to use.
Pam .... If you have any specific questions about TypePad, please ask! I learn, too, that way. :-)
