Random thoughts on art, technology, stuff, and occasionally Real Estate: Shameless, blatant appeal for Birthday Contributions.

Shameless, blatant appeal for Birthday Contributions.

Lest anyone unneccesarily spend any precious minutes pondering what to send me for my Birthday next week (May 3), I will tell you what I want. An iPad.

Since I certainly don't expect any of my friends or acquaintances to shoulder this expense alone, I have set up a Pay Pal account for the purpose of collecting donations towards my iPad. You could think of it as a "gift registry". So, if you are so inclined, please do feel free to click the button and toss some spare change into my iPad account.

And don't worry, no matter how much or little is in my account, I do intend to pay a visit to the Pasadena Apple store next week.

I got the wi fi model a few weeks ago and the iPad is SOOO great.  I downloaded a book and started to read it.  Took a break and checked my email.  i downloaded from iTunes one of my favorite programs that I missed.  I returned the Wi-Fi model because I figured out I really must have the 3G Version because without the possibility of internet connections when wi-fi isn't available it is too frustrating for me.  I can't wait.  If you haven't played with it I think you will really enjoy it.  Have fun (the Apple Store is always fun too)

You are too funny. My hubby wants to order one online. Of course, he wants the 749 dollar one and NOT the 499 dollar one. :-(  I'm just not sure about it's uses to access MLS and work the CAR forms and things like that. Have you done any research on that?

I'm definitely getting the one with 3G.  And the most gigs.  :-)

Right now I have a netbook with an AT&T 3G "Air Card".  I am wondering if I can transfer that dedicated phone number over to the iPad.  I guess I will soon find out.

I am not getting my hopes up on MLS or Zipforms access.

And Wallace, yes, this is on my FaceBook page.
