Random thoughts on art, technology, stuff, and occasionally Real Estate: Tip: Google Docs now does OCR

Tip: Google Docs now does OCR

This is so very useful, I am re-blogging it.....

Via Buddy Snipes (Trusted Agent, Inc.):

Need a quick and easy way to convert PDF files to text? Google Docs. They quietly upgraded Docs and now it can convert any PDF or image file (like say a scanned business card) to text. All you do is select the file you want to upload to your Docs account, check the box for OCR and upload. That's it!

That's good to know -- hadn't come across that yet, but I do use gmail, blogger and several of Google's services. Thanks for posting.

I do not use Google docs much, but this is a fantastic tool to have an run for free. I love Google where the world is pratically free!
