I was just about to write a blog about the same thing.. I got one.  How do you copy the screen and paste it?  Nice job.

hhhhmmm, I got that too and had no idea who it was. I searched for that lady on AR and could not find her. I did not notice the odd IP address though....Ohwell

There is so much of this junk floating around I usually just hit delete and don't waste my time wondering what fool sent it.   If it looks vague chances are it's trash.

I love the reverse IP locaters.  They really do tell a story...I also received that yesterday and it met my delete button quickly :-)

Dan:  I usually just delete, too.  But when the second one came thru, I got to wondering just how many AR members had received it.... and I hope nobody was suckered in!!!

Brian:  I use SnagIt because I like how easy-to-use all their after-capture editing tools are.  Makes adding stuff like pointers, highlights, or shout-out balloons very simple.

On the other hand, you could just click the PRT SCR (Print Screen) button on your keyboard (I'm assuming Windows operating system here  ... and you may already know this, but for any readers that may not know it....)

Hitting PRT SCR places the screen image in Window's clipboard memory.  Then open up your photo editing program (MS Paint or even Word will work if you don't have an editing program)  Create a new file, click Edit -> Paste.   Bingo, there's your screen shot.

Looks like a variation of the Nigerian Scam. If only they could use their power for good...............

More SPAM. Email addresses can be spoofed and IP addresses can be hijacked. If it looks like junk, it is junk. Delete and move on. Thanks for the heads-up.

Cheryl, yesterday in the span of about 20 minutes I got about 200 leads through my number one expert site. I called them and they said they had no way to track down the IP address and block them. I was flabergasted. Why couldn't they do that ? They said they could see all the bogus ones coming in but couldn't tell the IP address. I thought all web masters could do that. Any suggestions?

I got this one too...apparently Vanessa is a busy little bee.  I've actually seen this in a comment thread as well, so everyone needs to be careful.

Cheryl...Haven't received any as yet and don't want to.  Wish these folks would get a job (and I mean legitimate) and leave us alone.

Cheryl - I thought the word match system (what we used to call the fruit system) would prevent the mass emailing through the AR contact system. 

Be sure and pass your post on to the AR gods for their information.

I did not receive the letter (and didn't hurt my feelings one little bit)

Vanessa must be going through the AR system as I just received an email from her. Maybe AR can block the IP address.

Cheryl - I have received these emails too. I just assumed it was spam. I can tell you this, since I started using Active Rain, my in-box has been flooded with spam emails. I guess that happens when you post your email address on everything. I guess it's a trade off. I'm just waiting for that one golden first buyer!! Whoohoo! Great awareness post for sure!

Cheryl, I haven't gotten this particular message (yet) but I didn't know there was a way to look up IP's and follow it to find out about the sender.  This is bookmarked.  I won't click on anything from an email from someone I don't know, thank you for the warning.

Yup, I get them regularly. I know they're grabbing my info from AR.........I just hit my DELETE button.

I didn't know you could get that much information from an IP address or where to get that information, thanks.
