Avenue 50 Studio: Endangered

Avenue 50 Studio has been a leader in community outreach, and cross cultural understanding.

Avenue 50 Studio leases space at 131 North Avenue 50.  The 1925 masonry building was recently acquired by a new owner, and plans have been filed to demolish the structure.

I'm new to this group, but it is not obvious to me why this message was posted on this forum. I don't get it. Seems like a local thing to me . . .

Deborah -- it is a post  for Localism ...  information about what is happening in a specfic community ...

As an update:  Negotations are still ongoing about saving the building and the studio ... so it has not yet come back before the zoning board....

I am sorry but I don't understand the structure, I guess. I found this blog under "misfits, etc." I am guessing that you posted it to several groups, but I don't see why it was included in the misfits group.

I know, a while back, when many of us were getting the hang of/and deciding how we wanted to use "groups", we added various stuff to various groups in a haphazard way.  But since "misfits, losers and loners" does cover alot of territory :-)  (and I'm rather fond of most of the misfit members)  I figure, what the hey, leave it there.
