Random thoughts on art, technology, stuff, and occasionally Real Estate: It Takes A Village To Grow A Weblogger

It Takes A Village To Grow A Weblogger

Project Blogger kicked off in the Spring of 2007

You can relive those days, and review all the participants at http://www.projectblogger2007.info/

After several grueling months of Online Reality, Mary Pope Handy was declared winner of Project Blogger 2007.

Greg Swann of Bloodhound Blog and Teri Lussier of The Brick Ranch, however,  broke formation with Project Blogger and sailed into uncharted waters with Project Bloodhound, in the process creating Real Estate Weblogging 101,  a remarkable online resource covering real estate weblogging, theory and practice, tricks and techniques, art and commerce.

And now they want to do it again.

Just what is the difference between the previous Project Blogger and the upcoming Project Bloodhound II

1.    In Project Bloodhound II, there are no winners or losers.  Excellence is its own reward.

2.    Project Blogger was based on one coach - one apprentice.  Project Bloodhound II will be based on the "It Takes a Village to Grow a Weblogger" approach.  Several members of the Bloodhound community have volunteered to share their particular knowledge and skills from design, programming and photography, to social media networking, to philosophy and history with any and all apprentices.

Would you like to become a Bloodhound Apprentice?

Leave word here, or better yet, go visit Teri Lussier, and let her know.

Great post! Thanks fo...

Let's try this again.

You have summed up Project Bloodhound beautifully!

I/We are hoping that a few newbies who have been waiting for a primo moment to leap fearlessly onto an outside blog will see this as the chance of a lifetime! We are all going to learn together, like we did with Project Bloodhound 1, BUT, without the judging, the pressure, the time! Do you realize how many hours and hours per day we spent doing that? Not this time. This time we get all that experience without the stress.

I want to know who is intrepid? Who is hungry? Who is game for some focused blogging excellence? Step up and be counted.

Do I sound excited about this? ;-) Contact me! Teri(at)TheBrickRanch.com

Here's my take for folks reading this: If you're looking for reasons to reject this opportunity, please do. We're going to work hard and fast, seeking the best possible results -- not just for the proteges but for all of us. If you're not already comfortable hunting at a Bloodhound's pace, you're not going to hold up through this run. On the other hand, if you're repulsed by mediocrity -- we'll help you bring out the best within you.

It will be fun to watch and learn, but with my mentor and me still in the running with makeover2takeover, no way I can do this right now. I did learn from project blogger, although I was new to blogging at the time.

I think it sounds like a GREAT idea and I wish everyone a fun time, lots of learning, and blogging success!

I will enjoy being on the sidelines this time around :)  And I know I will learn tons!
