And my member number is 87 Current rank in the AR system is 87 (again, as of today at any rate)
I had no idea what my member rank or number was until today. (Now that I know, maybe I should buy a lottery ticket with these numbers)
I didn't know where to look until I read Brad Anderson's post today here http://activerain.com/blogsview/609107/ActiveRain-Hits-1-Members
Do you want to find your member number rank? I can't see any other way than browsing through the pages here http://activerain.com/action/nav/show_featured/all .. Start on Page one if you joined in 2006, jump to page 4005 if you joined in the last ten minutes.
And Congratulations, Active Rain on reaching 100,000+ members.
UPDATE: Thanks to Jason Crouch, Broker - Austin Texas Real Estate (Austin Texas Homes, LLC) I now know where to find my member number in the order signed up.

That's the number I wanted. Rank can be a fleeting thing :-)
P.S. There is a side benefit to browsing through the member ranking pages. You might see a few old friends you had lost track of, you might find some new people you'd like to get to know better.
There's got to be an easier way to find out. What does it mean? Were you the 87th person to sign up?
@Georgina, When I posted this, I thought that .... but after looking more closely, I see that the member number is based on points.

I'm #436 on the Rain and #12 in the great Commonwealth of Virginia where the likes of Lenn, Charles, Brian, etc., etc. reside.
There were 58,271 members here when I joined making me 58,272. Does that make me a Newbie still?

Cheryl, nice job! Its fun to look at. I am now #214 in AR, #35 in FL ( its tough in FL!) # 3 in Lee County and #2 in Ft Myers. being in the top 100 is a big deal.Hats off! I joined in November 2006. We had about 10,000 members then!
Cheryl, I liked this so much that I, too, looked myself up and then wrote a post. I, of course, referred to your's. Fun topic. ;-)
The rankings do change. Some people stop posting or slow down and others move past them. I've seen newcomers rack up points quickly and pass me by. I don't feel the need to accumulate points and move up in my ranking as there is no one on my heels in my market area.

Don't want to open a can of worms but you can see 'other' peoples sign in number the same way. go to their page and look at comments (don't get side tracked reading all day) talk about a quick way to figure an individual out- what are they 'saying' in print. - GPTFS :) cw
Very cool... I didn't know how to find these numbers. Looks like I'm member #6017 (joined). Not too bad now that we're up to 100,000. Makes me feel old, although not as old as some of you AR old timers. :-)
Here you go...Guess I'm an old timer. I'm 124 today. I slacked off for a couple of days and dropped from 120. I used to break the 100 mark but took off January to March this year and last. I really paid the price.
Other than that I've been going strong for 2 years. I've got over 100+ subscriptions but can't hold a candle to some of the valuable info you share!

I'm number 2372, July 2006 but I did not put up my profile until August 2006.
I knew there was a way you could see that number but could not remember what it was. Don't very few people have their comments visible between being comment stalked or using comments to game the system?
In a very early scandal on AR there was a post that Matt did about manipulating points where there was a graphic that showed WHO the manipulators were. We must have all had our comments visible at that time because I figured out WHO was involved... but I'll never tell....
they took down the post.
Cheryl- That's an eye opener. I'm 11,926, but I feel like a newbie.
When I signed up, I never really explored enough to find out what AR was all about. I didn't actively venture into the Rain, until 2008. Looks like I spent just over a year, under the umbrella. Think of all the connections I could have made, when there were a lot fewer of us and easier to read each others posts...AND...think of all the points I missed ;-)
I guess, better late than never. I've definitely become an AR addict.

Cheryl, that is pretty interesting. I was number 51326. The second half the ActiveRain group, but my rank was #158. (Number 1 or 2 in Alabama depending on which day of the week it is.) This kind of stuff is fun to know.
