Random thoughts on art, technology, stuff, and occasionally Real Estate: Street Art: Avenue 54 and York Blvd.

Street Art: Avenue 54 and York Blvd.

Some people like to photograph flowers.  I like to photograph street art.  (Well, I like flowers, too.)

I especially like street art that is colorful, clever and creative.  And this mural on the side of Guerrero's Produce Market, Inc. on the corner of Avenue 54 and York Blvd. in Highland Park, mets that criteria.

This is very creative.  I envy people who a) can see this in their mind before they paint it and b) can actually paint it.  WHat a great peice of work.

Hi Cheryl:

That's awesome.  I love it.  And, since the guy kind of looks like an unripe tomato, it fits the produce market perfectly.

Thanks for sharing,

Misty

Hi Cj, At first this looked like Alfred E Neumann then  I realized it was a green a tomato. DId you see the moxie, Friend Green Tomatoes. Until the movie i was not aware that people used to eat them green. Perhaps the owner is from the south and was aware of the practice?? Cool photo , none the less.

That is a very cool piece of street art.  I always enjoyed walking around NYC and Philly - lots of street art going on.

LOVE the Street Art!  Personally I would have liked it better if the guy wasn't green though.  A little too surreal.

The only thing that would make it better is if the owner resembled the building or the murel resembled the store owner.  Get his picture looking at the side of the building.  gotta get  cw

I don't get to see things like that where I live so I am kind of limited to flowers. That takes talent for the artist to see a picture like that out of nothing.
