Hello, Wasilla!

My curiosity finally got the better of me.

I ran an Active Rain Search for Wasilla, Alaska

Betcha didn't know that Marty Van Diest is the Number One Featured agent for Wasilla, or that the featured property on his blog right now is a beautiful log home priced at $200,000.

(This post is not intended to make any political statement about the governor of Alaska, either pro or con. 

Whenever an area that is unfamiliar to me is in the news, I find one way to learn a little bit about it is to read some Active Rain or Localism posts by agents in that area.

Hello Cheryl Johnson...Cheryl Powell here.  I checked out Marty's site as recommended...what a clever idea you had!  I never thought of using AR in that way, but I like it A LOT.

I run a google alert on my name so whenever anyone mentions my name I'm usually curious enough to check it out...What a nice surprise.

Now if you can just find a buyer for this log home we will be even happier.

I saw Marty's comment on another blog (I forget whose now) and it was intelligent and succinct.  I clicked over to his website/blog and it looked pretty classy, too.

I say McCain should dump Sarah and put Marty on the ticket!
