Random thoughts on art, technology, stuff, and occasionally Real Estate: This will be the fourth day

This will be the fourth day

In an ongoing effort to keep my Beaujolais Day Resolution of drinking more wine and less beer.... (Sounds like a healthy idea to me) ... (And this will be my fourth day of wine drinking....)

In that effort, I decided to try some wine in an alternative package:

The container is about 6 inches on each side. The label says it is equal to two bottles of wine. Huh? What size bottles, I wonder.

Anyone else drink this stuff?

This is going to be an adventure.

(PS I took the photo myself - it's not hijacked off any company's advertising site..) :-)

This sounds very interesting. I am not a drinker, but I do sip something once in a while to toast an occasion. What ever it is, I can only have one because I can't hold my Liq (LOL) Let me know how you like this. :-)

Cheryl - I am also drinking wine as opposed to beer, trying to cut down on certain carbs. I don't now, but, when I had a hot tub I found a couple of boxed wines that were palatable and would take them out to the tub area. They also store more in a smaller space. Somewhere you should have the actual volume, the box is probably equivalent to 2 750 ml bottles.

Mike, Yep.  Those nasty little carbs.  My, hmmmm, waistline is now showing the effects of daily beer drinking.

Italian Reds are the way to go. Almost anything produced from the Tuscan region. Bought at a Trader Joes or similar is less than $10.

If your new to wines and sometimes find that they bother the stomach try the Italian Reds.

Also stay away from Oak Barrell production. The tanic acids are probably whats turning you upside down. Stainless steel will help.

We have friends that always have a box of wine in the fridge. I can't tell the difference especially after 2 glasses.

Cheryl, I drink one wine that I love:  Pino Grigio, a white wine and I love the Santa Margarita one in particular.  If a restaurant carries that I'll eat there more often :)

I think I might be able to tell the difference with a box versus bottle.

I don't remember Cj, where I heard it , but everytime I think of it, it makes me laugh. It is referred to as drinking a box of wine. I think it was in the movie called "The Mother Law".
